Actual salary: £21,470- £22,635 per annum
FTE £26,308 - £27,736 (if over the age of 21)
Starting salary will be subject to qualifications and experience
The post holder will work as a lead support for a named student with complex needs to offer specific and specialist emotional, behavioural support and personal care, and to provide additional support for the daytime support team. They will also ensure appropriate care and support of the student including medical needs, dietary needs and personal care/hygiene. They must provide effective communication with colleagues and be able to keep accurate records.

• Have a strong desire to support young people, have excellent observational skills, and the ability to problem solve and think creatively to enable our young people to reimagine their potential
• Be a patient, caring, compassionate with a young person-centred nature
• Demonstrate the ability to manage emotionally challenging situations, be a team player with experience of support work in both educational and residential settings
• Emotional intelligence and resilience with the ability to react calmly in stressful situations
• To meet regularly with the student and support worker if appropriate, throughout the day to provide additional emotional and behavioural support.
