Summary
Office Coordinator (Shops)
£26k – £28k, (Broughton-in-Furness)
Chocolate crispy, speciality sausages, and wilja (posh spud!) — just some of the exciting products in our village shops.
CGP is No.1 in our field (educational publishing), but we’re just as passionate about our local community — that’s why we continue to run three village shops in Broughton-in-Furness. We offer our customers a great service, but the retail market is tough. We want our butchers, bakers, and grocers* to thrive, so that’s where you come in.
You’ll be a perfect fit for this new Office Coordinator role if you’re highly organised, methodical, and numerate. You’ll also be great with people as you’ll deal with customers, suppliers, and, at times, deputise for the manager.
Opening times vary, but you’ll need to be available to open and close the shops when required (i.e. you could be asked to work from 8.00am or up to 6.30pm). And, it’s very likely you’ll be working some Saturdays and bank holidays to deputise for the manager. This is expected to be a full-time position, but part-time will be considered for the right candidate — it’s flexibility that’s key.
*And, yes, we do also have candlestick makers!
Interested?
If you’re excited by planning Christmas turkey sales or negotiating flour (& flower!) prices, this could be right up your street. To apply, simply email us your CV with a cracking covering letter telling us why you’d be perfect for this role.
Closing Date: Monday 15th December 2025.
Other organisations may call this role Office Manager, Accounts Clerk, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, Support Coordinator, Operations Executive, Retail Operations Coordinator, or Operations Coordinator.
