We are looking to recruit an experienced Autism Support Worker to provide support for a 5-year-old male child with a diagnosis of Autism, Global Development Delay, PICA, ADHD and is also non-verbal.The role involves support for this little boy to enable him to access fun activities at home initially, as he faces many challenges in being able to cope with being out and about in the local community. His favourite activities include playing with bubbles and balloons, playing on his swing and rocking on his ball. He also enjoys passing the ball back and forth, reading sensory books especially ‘the very hungry caterpillar’; dancing (spinning) to the music on his keyboard and doing puzzles.Main Duties

- Providing constant 1:1 close supervision as he has no danger awareness and is totally reliant upon adults to keep him safe. He also has PICA and will regularly try to put unsafe items in his mouth.
- Provide support with personal care.
- Have experience of working with children with Autism, PICA and no verbal communication
- Have a genuine interest in working with children with complex needs
