Join us as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Are you someone who finds joy in helping children feel understood, valued, and confident? Thrive Education is looking for a caring and enthusiastic 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in a friendly, nurturing primary school based in a lovely village just outside of StroudThe role would be full time and has the potential to continue for the academic year. About the Role You’ll be working closely with a child who thrives with gentle, patient support to help them feel secure and included. With an EHCP already in place, you’ll have clear guidance to help you make a real difference in their learning experience. Communication and Interaction are the main needs of the child so your presence will help them grow, explore, and build confidence day by day. What You’ll Be Doing Offering warm, consistent 1:1 support to help the child access their learning Using communication focused strategies to help them express themselves in ways that work for them Working alongside the class teacher and SENCO to follow the child’s EHCP Creating a calm, reassuring environment built on trust Using visuals, play, and alternative communication to help the child interact and engage Encouraging social, emotional, and learning development at a pace that feels right for them Who We’re Looking For We’d love to hear from you if you are: Naturally warm, patient, and nurturing Passionate about supporting children with communication and interaction needs Experienced in Primary Schools or SEND (desirable, but a positive attitude goes a long way) Happy to work as part of a supportive, friendly team Reliable, kind-hearted, and ready to make a meaningful impact Why Join Thrive Education?
