Salary: Starting at £14.12 per hour, rising with training (up to £14.54)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts:
. Early: 05:00-13:00
. Day: 09:00-17:00
. Late: 13:00-Finish
. Sundays: 06:00-Finish (typically 10-11 hours)

About the Role
The Trainee Process Operative will join a busy production team responsible for the safe and hygienic intake, control, and processing of raw milk. This position includes hands-on learning, industry training, and clear progression into a full Process Operative role and beyond.
Working Pattern:
. 5 shifts per week, Monday-Sunday
. Rotating start times depending on operational needs (from 05:00)

Your Training & Development Pathway
Stage 1: Trainee Process Operative (6-7 months)
. Work on the external tanker bay, ensuring hygienic raw milk intake
. Gain practical process experience
. Study for a Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP qualification
. Receive continuous support from the Learning & Development team
Stage 2: Process Operative Progression
. Move into internal tank operations
. Train in the Pasteurisation process
. Work toward a Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP qualification
. Opportunity to progress to Process Technician
Key Responsibilities
. Safely intake, control, and process dairy products within strict hygiene standards
. Operate machinery, including CIP equipment, following company procedures
. Support safe working practices and maintain excellent hygiene
. Communicate clearly with colleagues and liaise across departments
. Assist with troubleshooting and maintaining smooth production flow
What We're Looking For
. Experience in food production or machine operation is highly desirable
. Candidates from fast-paced or process-driven environments will also be considered
. Strong attention to detail and methodical working style
. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
. Willingness to work varying shifts and adapt to business needs
. Must adhere to strict food hygiene rules: only a plain wedding band allowed; no jewellery, makeup, perfumes, or strong deodorants in production areas
