Are you looking to kick-start a hands-on career in food production with clear opportunities for growth? We're looking for a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join the team as a Trainee Process Operative.

This is a fantastic entry point into the dairy industry, offering structured training, industry-recognised qualifications, and a clear path for progression. Whether you've worked in production before or are eager to learn in a fast-paced environment, this role could be your next step.

Location: Tewkesbury

Hours: Minimum 37.5 hrs/week, 5 days over 7 on a shift rota (multiple start times from 05:00)

Salary: From £14.12 - £14.54

Duration: Permanent after 12 weeks for the right candidate

Your Development Journey

  • Process Operative Training (6 - 7 months)
    • Start as a trainee on the external tanker bay, ensuring the safe, hygienic intake of raw milk.
    • Complete practical, hands-on training alongside studying for a Level 2 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.
    • Benefit from support by our dedicated Learning & Development team and experienced production staff.
    Process Operative Development
    • Progress to the full Process Operative role with opportunities to advance further as a Process Technician.
    • Train on the internal tanks, focusing on the Pasteurisation process and achieving a Level 3 Food Safety & HACCP qualification.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in food production is ideal, but proactive candidates with precision and accuracy in fast-paced environments will be considered.
  • Ability to work methodically and pay attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-player mindset.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and adapt to changing demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely intake, control, and process products in a hygienic environment.
  • Prepare and operate machinery (including CIP equipment) in line with company standards and food safety legislation.
  • Monitor health, safety, and hygiene levels while maintaining clear communication across teams.
  • Collaborate with other departments to troubleshoot and ensure an efficient workflow.
