Experienced Property Manager – Hertford
£28,000 – £33,000 DOE
Are you a highly experienced Property Manager with the confidence and capability to take full ownership of your portfolio? Our client, a respected independent estate agency with over 30 years of success, is seeking a skilled Property Manager to join their professional team in Hertford.
This is a great opportunity for a proven Property Manager who thrives in a busy, people-focused environment and enjoys the autonomy of managing their portfolio from start to finish.
The Role
As Property Manager, you’ll take responsibility for a well-established portfolio of residential properties, acting as the key point of contact for both landlords and tenants. You’ll be trusted to make decisions, resolve issues efficiently, and ensure compliance and service excellence at every stage.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Managing landlord and tenant relationships, providing expert advice and support.
Coordinating maintenance, inspections, and safety certifications with efficiency and attention to detail.
Preparing and serving Section 8 and Section 21 notices.
Handling renewals, terminations, and deposit returns.
Ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance across your portfolio.
Maintaining accurate documentation and reporting to the Head of Property Management.
Taking ownership of more complex cases and ensuring swift, professional resolution.
What We’re Looking For
This position requires a confident, capable Property Manager who brings both experience and initiative to the role.
You’ll need:
Extensive residential property management experience.
A thorough understanding of lettings legislation and compliance.
Proven experience handling Section 8 and Section 21 notices (essential).
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy workload independently.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
A calm, solution-focused approach and sound professional judgement.
Full UK driving licence and your own vehicle.
(ARLA qualification is desirable but not essential.)
