Building Services are looking to recruit a highly motivated Telecare Operative to join our existing team.
The purpose of the Home Safety Telecare Operative job is to undertake the day to day Home Safety Telecare contract works in properties located within West Lothian to ensure the Telecare equipment is fully functioning and fit for purpose. This includes:
- Installation, programming and testing of a range of technology in service users’ homes
- Responding to faults and identifying/rectifying
- Maintenance of all equipment
- Uplift of equipment when no longer required
- Stock control and recording
Telecare equipment provides a 24-hour telephone link between the service user and West Lothian Careline via their 'Lifeline' pendant and other sensors. Careline establishes the nature of the problem and, if required, contacts the key holder or the emergency services.
The tasks and responsibilities of the Home Safety Telecare Operative will include;
The post holder will be expected to fulfil the job outline responsibilities/current tasks for the position of Home Safety Telecare Operative working on their own.
The essential criteria for the post are;
- Building Maintenance or Construction Experience
- Ability to problem solve and learn from previous experiences
- Self-motivated to meet targets
- Good knowledge of technology and ability to learn
- Excellent communication skills and customer care
- Current Full UK Driving Licence.
- Proactive in identifying ways of improving service provision
- High level of health and safety awareness
Please note the post will require participating in the Building Services out of hour’s service.
