A Vacancy at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Clerical Officer to join the Breast Screening team here at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH). The Breast Imaging department is split over two sites with the breast cancer symptomatic pathway based at NNUH and the Breast Screening department based at the Norwich Community Hospital (NCH).

We are a progressive department that aims to always be at the forefront of breast imaging developments. The unit embraces the four-tier structure with Assistant Practitioners, Specialist Radiographers, Advanced Practitioners and Consultant Radiographers all being valuable members of our team.

The Breast Screening department at NCH is nearer Norwich City centre at a static site accommodating offices and screening facilities including two Mammography rooms. In addition, there is a static screening unit on the coast in Cromer District Hospital, and two mobile screening vans that cover all picturesque rural Norfolk. Around 30,000 women are invited for screening each year across the two static sites and 15 mobile screening van sites.

The post-holder will be responsible for providing comprehensive clerical support to the Breast Screening Service. The admin office is quite large in capacity and accommodates 6 desks each with a PC and phone and is in close proximity to the manager’s office. There is a dedicated kitchen with all facilities required and on-site parking is available. The Breast screening admin team consists of two part-time clerical officers, a full time Deputy and part-time Planning and Workflow Manager.

We are looking to recruit a conscientious, self-motivated, and passionate individual preferably with experience of working in the NHS Breast Screening Programme.

To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work and consistently demonstrate NNUH’s ‘PRIDE’ values of People focused, Respect, Integrity, Dedication and Excellence and demonstrate behaviours that support and encourage an inclusive culture.
