About the role
We are on the lookout for a Cost Insight Manager. This person will be managing and leading the Cost Insight programme in Food and across Group to support the buying team in identifying and modelling cost risk and opportunities.
You will be responsible for
- Lead Cost Insight team and Programme: Drive cost modelling initiatives across categories and group functions.
- Develop Processes & Reports: Create tools and frameworks to assess cost risks (commodities, FX, processing costs).
- Support Strategic Decisions: Provide intelligence to inform sourcing and own-brand supply strategies.
- Engage Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Technology, and Transformation teams to optimize systems and governance.
- E2E Cost analysis (Commodity, FX, Energy, Packaging..): Understand supplier exposure across categories and geographies.
- Briefings & Communication: Prepare regular updates for senior management and category teams.
- Project Participation: Contribute to sourcing transformation projects and efficiency initiatives.
- Support on Category and Commodity model transformation projects.
- Adhering to all Tesco policies, storage and handover protocols and successfully completing all my training so that I have zero GSCOP breaches.
- Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence.

- Commodity market knowledge.
