FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Leakage Trainer to strengthen their team.

This role is based in North London.

Leakage Trainer role:
- To deliver high-quality training across both classroom and operational settings, supporting the development of technical skills and safety competencies in water leakage detection.
- The Trainer will also contribute to planning to train schedules, maintaining accurate training records, and ensuring full compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.

Leakage Trainer responsibilities:
- Training Delivery
- Deliver engaging and effective classroom-based training sessions covering water leakage detection, health & safety, and operational procedures.
- Provide on-site operational training, coaching staff in real working environments to reinforce learning and ensure safe, competent performance.
- Tailor training approaches to accommodate diverse learning styles and operational requirements.
- Training Planning & Coordination
- Support the Training Manager in creating, updating, and maintaining training plans and schedules.
- Work closely with operational teams to align training delivery with business priorities.
- Assist with onboarding new starters, ensuring they receive timely and relevant training.
- Training Records & Reporting
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date training records for all employees.
- Track training compliance, including certification expiries and renewals.
- Produce regular reports for the Training Manager, highlighting training progress, gaps, and outcomes.
- Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and updating training materials and resources to ensure high-quality content.
- Collect and evaluate feedback from trainees and stakeholders to enhance training effectiveness.
- Keep up to date with industry developments and best practices related to water leakage and training delivery.
- Utilities Trainer requirements:
- Proven experience delivering technical or operational training, ideally within utilities, engineering, or field-based environments.
- Strong understanding of health & safety principles and the ability to embed safe working practices into training.
- Good knowledge of water leakage detection methods, equipment, and operational processes (or willingness to upskill).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage learners of varying experience levels.
- Ability to coach and mentor staff in both classroom and live operational settings.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage training schedules, records, and compliance tracking.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to operational sites.
