Job Title: Trainer (Nights)
Location: Middlesex
Salary: £33,000 - £38,000
This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to one of the water industry's most critical challenges while developing your
expertise across data, network operations, and strategic resolution planning. Hydrosave is part of the South Staffordshire Group
– a 3,000-strong organisation behind South Staffs Water, Cambridge Water, and several leading utility support businesses –
offering long-term development and career progression.
As a Trainer you will deliver high-quality training across both classroom and operational environments, supporting the development
of technical and safety competencies in water leakage detection. The Trainer will assist in planning training schedules,
maintaining accurate training records, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.
The Role:
Training Delivery:
* Deliver engaging and effective classroom-based training sessions on water leakage detection, health & safety, and operational
procedures.
* Conduct on-site operational training, coaching staff in real-world environments to reinforce learning and ensure safe,
competent performance.
* Adapt training methods to suit different learning styles and operational needs.
Training Planning & Coordination:
* Assist the Training Manager in developing and updating training plans and schedules.
* Liaise with operational teams to coordinate training delivery around business needs.
* Support the onboarding process for new starters, ensuring timely and relevant training is provided.
Training Records & Reporting:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records for all staff.
* Monitor training compliance and certification renewals.
* Provide regular reports and insights to the Training Manager on training progress, gaps, and outcomes.
Quality & Continuous Improvement:
* Contribute to the development and review of training materials and resources.
* Gather feedback from trainees and stakeholders to improve training effectiveness.
* Stay informed of industry developments and best practices in water leakage and training delivery.
What you’ll need:
* Proven experience delivering training in classroom and/or operational environments.
* Strong understanding of water leakage detection techniques or willingness to quickly develop technical expertise.
* Solid knowledge of health & safety practices and the ability to embed these into training delivery.
* Ability to coach staff on-site and adapt training styles to suit different learners and operational conditions.
* Experience planning and coordinating training schedules, ideally in collaboration with operational teams.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance.
* Confidence in analysing training data and providing clear reports on progress, gaps, and outcomes.
* Experience developing or updating training materials and resources.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement.
* Commitment to staying up to date with industry standards, best practices, and new developments related to training and water
leakage detection.
