The post-holder will contribute to teaching and assessment across undergraduate and postgraduate Biosciences programmes. Responsibilities include leading and teaching modules, curriculum development, academic and pastoral support, and quality assurance processes. The role also involves pedagogic scholarship, external engagement activities, and participation in School citizenship, such as open days and committees. This maternity-cover post provides a chance to shape and enhance the student learning experience.

Experience in designing practical classes, delivering teaching in areas such as Haematology, Transfusion Science, Microbiology, Physiology, or Anatomy, and supporting external engagement activities would be advantageous.
A satisfactory DBS clearance is required for this role.
For informal discussions, contact Dr Joanne Gough, Biosciences Associate Dean Education (J.R.Gough@aston.ac.uk), or Professor Alan Goddard, Head of Biosciences (A.Goddard@aston.ac.uk).
