Start Date: 5th January 2026The Governing Body are seeking to appoint a committed, dynamic, reliable and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work as part of a dedicated team in our SRB.
The Special Resource Base is a local authority provision and provides for pupils with social communication and interactions difficulties, or ASD and have an IDP.
Required to start January 2026.
The successful candidates will have experience of working with children with social communication and interaction needs/on the autistic spectrum. They will have good interpersonal and communication skills. They will also have a genuine commitment to the education and development of all pupils in our school community. The ability to work flexibly and a sense of humour is essential.
This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check.
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
