Hours: 13 hours per week (Thursday and Friday- to include a lunchtime duty)
Start Date: 5th January 2026
The Head teacher and Governing Body of Llysfaen Primary School are
looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who is
committed to children’s learning and wellbeing to join our ‘highly successful and happy school’ (Estyn March 2024).Required from January 2026 a friendly, committed and enthusiastic teaching assistant to work as part of a dedicated team assisting teachers and giving general and specific support to the children. Experience of working with Nursery age children and areas of interest/expertise should be stated in your application. An NVQ Level 2 for Teaching Assistants or an equivalent qualification is desirable. The successful candidate will be able to work well in a team, have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to establish good working relationships with children, staff and parents.This is a temporary position until July 2026.
Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
