Teacher of Science
Permanent
MPS/UPS plus Potential TLR
Flexible starts avalable
ECTs encouraged to apply
I am working with a popular and improving secondary school in Thurrock, Essex, that is seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science. This is a permanent role with a flexible start date of January 2026, April 2026 or September 2026, making it ideal whether you are completing your training, finishing a fixed-term contract or simply ready for a fresh challenge. ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply, and the school is equally keen to hear from experienced practitioners.
The Science department is well equipped, with dedicated laboratory spaces, good technician support and access to a wide range of practical resources. As a Teacher of Science, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with specialism in Biology, Chemistry or Physics welcomed. There may also be opportunities for KS5 teaching for those with the appropriate experience. You will contribute to ongoing curriculum development, enrichment activities and the promotion of STEM across the school.
As the school's recruitment partner, I am looking to speak to Science teachers who can demonstrate strong subject knowledge, effective practical teaching and a commitment to securing excellent outcomes for all learners. ECTs will benefit from structured support, regular observations and tailored CPD. For more experienced colleagues, TLRs may be available for leading a subject strand, key stage or enrichment area, depending on the skills and experience you can bring.
If a permanent Teacher of Science role in Thurrock with a flexible 2026 start date sounds of interest, please get in touch. I will talk you through the department, the wider school context and what they can offer you in terms of development and progression, and support you fully throughout the application and interview process.
