Are you an experienced SEND Specialist Tutor looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity in St. Helens, Merseyside? Look no further! As a Part-time SEND Specialist Tutor, you will work closely with students, their families, and school staff to develop and implement individualised learning plans that cater to each student's unique needs. Your expertise in various learning difficulties and disabilities will be invaluable in creating engaging and effective teaching strategies that promote academic, social, and emotional growth.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working with SEND students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to helping every child reach their full potential. You should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as you will be collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to each student's development.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing students' learning needs and creating tailored lesson plans
- Delivering one-to-one and small group tutoring sessions
- Monitoring and evaluating student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and school staff
- Adapting teaching methods and materials to suit individual learning styles
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Participating in regular professional development opportunities to stay updated with the latest SEND best practices

To be considered for this position, you should have:
- A relevant teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS
- Substantial experience working with SEND students, preferably in a tutoring or teaching capacity
- In-depth knowledge of various learning difficulties and disabilities, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and dyspraxia
- Proficiency in using assistive technologies and adaptive teaching resources
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- A caring, patient, and empathetic nature
