The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking a passionate and experienced teaching assistant to join an independent Special Post-16 Institution managed by Barnet Special Education Trust.
They are an inclusive provision recognising and celebrating equality and diversity. They offer personalised placements for young adults aged 18 - 24 with an Education Health and Care Plan that identifies their special educational needs.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Implement strategies to support behavioural, emotional, and social needs
- Assist in creating an inclusive and structured learning environment
- Help deliver tailored interventions and support plans
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a SEN teaching environment.
- Strong behavioural management and communication skills.
- Commitment to development and inclusive education.
- Enthusiastic, adaptable, and collaborative approach.
