Summary

Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join an SEN alternative provision in Harrow.

Location: Harrow, Northwest London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term (6 weeks minimum)
Hours: Full Time, 5 days per week: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: GBP100 - GBP107

About the Role:
Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a long-term cover position at a specialist SEN school and Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Harrow, Northwest London. The role is for an SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of special educational needs. The cover will be needed for a minimum of 6 weeks and could extend further or lead to permanent opportunities.
This PRU serves students aged 5-16 who are unable to attend mainstream schools and supports a small cohort of 35-36 pupils. The school is rated Good by Ofsted and offers a nurturing environment to meet the diverse needs of its learners. We are seeking passionate and experienced support staff to join their team.

What We Are Looking For:
· Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in SEN or SEMH settings
· Strong behaviour management skills and ability to build positive relationships
· Ability to support learning across the primary curriculum
· Creative, hands-on approach to engaging and inspiring learners
· Understanding of trauma-informed practice and supporting disengaged students

Requirements:
· Child and Adult DBS (Enhanced Disclosure)
· Right to Work in the UK
· 2 Professional References
