Crynodeb
The operative is expected to help foster a safe, welcoming environment by addressing anti-social behaviour appropriately by reporting incidents according to council protocols.
The Deputy Estate Service Operative will undertake tasks such as (not limited to) changing bins, removing litter, sharps, low-level graffiti (escalating if necessary), hard surface weed removal, basic handy person tasks and responding to requests from the line manager.
The service will prioritise customer satisfaction, with the Deputy Estate Service Operative serving as the initial point of contact and representing the council. It is essential that they always maintain a respectful and professional demeanour. Regular communication with their line manager is necessary to promptly identify and report any inspection faults.
It is essential for staff to undertake health and safety training. The Deputy Estate Service Operative will need to keep up to date with recent and new health and safety documentation (PPE, COSHH assessments, Risk Assessments, Accident/incident/near miss reporting, changes in legislation). Training of new tools, equipment and cleaning techniques will be delivered locally (unless specified by the health and safety team).
You may be required to work a weekend shift pattern (Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat & Sun) at 36hours per week.
