Summary

Neway International are seeking an Estate Services Quality Assurance Officer to join our client based with Islington Council.

Location: London Borough of Islington, 222 Upper Street
Contract: Agency Worker, Full‑time (35 hours per week)
Duration: Starting 1st of December, initially for a 3 month contract, extended after review.
Hours: 08:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £21.45 per hour (PAYE) / £28.37 per hour (Umbrella/Ltd)

About the Role
We are seeking an Estate Services Quality Assurance Officer to join Islington Council’s Homes & Neighbourhoods team. This role provides vital support in ensuring that estate services across the borough are delivered to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction.

Working under the direction of the Estate Services Area Manager, you will monitor and inspect a wide range of estate services, ensuring they meet agreed standards and contribute to the council’s wider objectives of creating safe, welcoming, and well‑maintained communities.

Key Responsibilities
Inspect and monitor estate services including caretaking, horticulture, communal repairs, waste management, play areas, sports facilities, storage units, and garages.

Ensure services meet the highest standards of safety, security, cleanliness, and overall appearance.

Maintain accurate records of inspections using digital applications.

Work collaboratively with Members, council services, partners, and stakeholders to deliver council priorities.

Contribute proactively to the collective leadership of the council, supporting its vision and values.

About You
We are looking for candidates with:

Experience in estate services, housing, or facilities management.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.

Ability to use digital applications to record and monitor inspections.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and with external partners.

A proactive approach to problem‑solving and service improvement.
