Crynodeb
Provide a high quality diagnostic and treatment service for women referred to the gynaecology service with a known or suspected cancer Provide specialist, expert episodes of nursing care based on assessment of physical, social, psychological, emotional and spiritual needs and in liaison with the MDT and other relevant health and care agencies. Provide adequate cover for the gynaecology inpatient ward at Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust to facilitate high quality patient care and effective flow. To frequently and directly be involved in the giving of bad news to patients and/or relatives, informing patients of a cancer diagnosis. Provide support to anxious and /or bereaved relatives, demonstrating empathy and sensitivity in a professional manner. Act as a resource for women and the clinical and administrative teams by provision of comprehensive advice, information, teaching and training within Chelsea and Westminster NHS Foundation Trust. Undertake where appropriate, nursing research with published outcomes and updating own knowledge to promote excellence in clinical practice, and the setting of quality standards within the speciality of Endometriosis and fibroids. Contribute to formulating reports and clinical audit of own practice, service and outcomes.
