What's involved with this role:
JOB TITLE: Property Solicitor
REF: Rugby RQ1648122
Pay rate: £38.89 per hour PAYE
Contract Type: Temporary, Anticipated 3 months initially, with chance of extension for the right candidate
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working with 21 hours over 3 days, during office hours (Friday non-working). In office on Mondays.
Driving Licence is needed for this role.
The role:
On behalf of a local council, we are seeking a Property Solicitor with sound experience of Right to Buy properties & buy backs. You will also have both knowledge and experience relating to consent orders, sale and purchase of properties, Assets of Community Value applications and lease extensions and renewals.
In order to apply for this role you will also have excellent client rapport, along with experience of using IKEN or other Case Management System.
Key Responsibilities may include:
Handling Right to Buy property matters and buy-back transactions
Drafting, reviewing and completing consent orders
Managing the sale and purchase of residential and commercial properties
Dealing with Assets of Community Value (ACV) applications
Overseeing lease extensions, renewals and general landlord/tenant matters
Providing clear, practical advice to internal clients and council stakeholders
Maintaining meticulous records using IKEN or a similar Case Management System
What the client is looking for:
A current Practising Certificate (Solicitor or Legal Executive with relevant experience)
Sound experience of Right to Buy properties & buy backs; consent orders; sale and purchase of properties; Assets of Community Value applications, lease extensions and renewals.
Excellent client rapport
Experience of using IKEN or other Case Management System
Driving Licence is needed for this role.
