We are seeking an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join our team, supporting a workforce of approximately 1,200 employees within a soft services environment.
This role is primarily based in Coventry, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, and occasional travel to Warwick every other week.
Job Description
In this role, you will be managing high-volume, complex employee relations cases (up to 30 cases concurrently), coaching managers, and handling absence management. Previous exposure to similar workforce environments is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Provide policy and procedure guidance to managers to ensure compliance and minimise risk.
Support and advise managers on employee relations investigations, including grievance and disciplinary matters.
Manage high-volume ER cases efficiently, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where necessary.
Coach and guide managers on best practice people management and conflict resolution.
Assist with restructures and TUPE processes in collaboration with ER Centres of Excellence.
Liaise with unions as required, ensuring positive and constructive relationships.
Promote equal opportunity and cultural diversity across the organisation.
Contribute to building a positive, inclusive, and safety-first culture.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
Experience in a People & Culture generalist role.
Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation, with basic TUPE and union experience.
Proven ability to manage complex ER cases and coach managers effectively.
Excellent communication, mediation, and relationship-building skills.
CIPD qualified or willing to work towards qualification.
Hold a full UK driving licence for travel - expenses paid for.
