We are seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to play a key role in supporting the Facilities Manager in delivering safe, compliant, and efficient services across a busy office environment.​

This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting and enjoys balancing operational, administrative, and leadership responsibilities.

Acting as a deputy to the Facilities Manager, you’ll gain valuable experience and confidence in leadership, making this the perfect step-up role for those aspiring to become a Facilities Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver operational support to the Facilities Manager, stepping in during absences and peak workloads.

Raise and manage work orders, ensure client budget sign-off, monitor timesheets, and resolve anomalies promptly.

Coordinate contractors and supervise onsite teams, including engineers, messengers, and cleaning staff.

Ensure planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks are completed within agreed SLAs via the helpdesk.

Support client Health & Safety audits and perform basic safety checks (e.g., fire extinguishers).

Maintain building safety standards, manage procurement processes, and control costs effectively.

Foster strong relationships with clients, ISS teams, and building users to ensure excellent service delivery.

Act as deputy to the Facilities Manager, stepping up when required to build leadership experience.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Proven experience in a commercial, client-facing role.

Background in supervising or managing facilities services within an office environment.

Strong awareness of Health & Safety and compliance requirements.

Experience in supplier contract management and team performance management.

Excellent communication skills and ability to drive change.
