Summary

Our client, a leading provider of alternative education in West Sussex, is seeking a passionate and experienced STEM Tutor to join their team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 who are part of our client's alternative provision programme.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in STEM subjects and a proven track record of working with young people who may have faced challenges in traditional educational settings. Our client is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential, and the STEM Tutor will play a crucial role in achieving this goal.

As a Part-time STEM Tutor, you will be expected to plan and deliver creative and interactive lessons that align with the national curriculum and meet the individual needs of each student. You will work closely with the alternative provision team to assess student progress, provide regular feedback, and adapt your teaching methods as necessary to ensure that all students are engaged and motivated to learn.

In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will also be required to maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievement, and to communicate regularly with parents, carers, and other stakeholders as needed. You will be expected to participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to ensure that you remain up-to-date with the latest developments in STEM education and alternative provision.

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £33 to £40 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications. The role is part-time, with the exact hours to be agreed upon with the successful candidate.

Our client is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and all staff are required to undergo an enhanced DBS check prior to appointment.
