OPERATIONS MANAGER
At One Hatfield Hospital, part of Phoenix Hospital Group, we are committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care supported by strong, efficient and reliable operational services.
We are now seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our senior management team and take a leading role in overseeing the hospitals core support functions.

OPERATIONS MANAGER
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Strategy
o Lead and inspire the Operations Team, ensuring departments deliver safe, high-quality and customer-focused services.
o Contribute proactively to hospital-wide strategic planning and decision-making as part of the senior management team.
o Develop and implement an operational strategy aligned with the hospitals strategic objectives, driving performance, efficiency and cost-effective service delivery.
o Promote an open, positive, and supportive team culture, modelling Phoenix Hospital Group values at all times.
Operational Excellence
o Oversee the smooth running and maintenance of the hospital environment, liaising with facilities, maintenance and external contractors.
o Work closely with Group colleagues on key projects, including facilities, IT and strategic initiatives.
o Manage departmental resources effectively, including workforce planning and budget control.
o Ensure compliance with all regulatory, governance, health and safety, safeguarding and information security requirements.
Customer & Stakeholder Focus
o Champion excellence in customer service across operational teams.
o Develop strong working relationships with staff, suppliers and stakeholders to support effective service delivery.
o Monitor service quality, address operational challenges, and use feedback to drive improvements.

o Strong operational management experience, ideally within healthcare.
o Proven communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
o Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple service areas.
Skills
o Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
o Strong planning, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
o Confident IT skills (MS Office and web-based reporting systems).
o Financial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and control costs.
Desirable
o Experience within the private healthcare sector.

One Hatfield Hospital is Hertfordshire's newest private hospital and has the very latest technology ensuring that our operating theatres provide patients and employees with the very best environment to keep them safe and free from infection.
Our private hospital is home to specialist rehabilitation Physiotherapy and outpatient diagnostic facilities including fast-track access to X-ray, MRI and ultrasound.
In September 2023, we joined with Phoenix Hospital Group, a leading London based private healthcare group. Phoenix provide exceptional patient centred care with three state-of-the-art medical facilities in the Harley Street Medical Precinct in Central London and one in Chelmsford, Essex.
One Hatfield is ideally located for candidates around the Hatfield, St Albans, Stevenage, Watford, North London, Essex and throughout Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
