Job duties include:
Ensuring accurate data entry in our bespoke software.
Analysis of timesheets, expenses and various information received from contractors.
Raising Sales invoices and sending to clients.
Dealing with customer enquiries by telephone or email and providing assistance in a professional and respectable manner.
Managing office tasks and maintaining organisational systems.
Utilising IT skills to handle administrative duties.
Operating Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft TeamsThe ideal candidate should be able to deal with multiple currencies, proficient in English while being able to accommodate our customer base in which English may not be their first language.
Training
Foundation covers the basic principles of accountancy, and is your starting point if you’ve never studied accountancy before. You’ll learn the basic principles of accountancy, such as double-entry bookkeeping, costing and preparing financial statements, as well as how to use accountancy software.
This level is ideal if you’re new to accountancy and finance, have previously worked in an accounts department, or are looking to change your career into Accountancy.
To pass this level, you'll be examined on five units. All assessments are computer-based exams (CBE). The area you will cover include:
Bookkeeping transactions.
Bookkeeping controls.
Elements of costing.
Using accounting software.
Foundation Synoptic Assessment.Training will be provided either via classroom or remote sessions. An apprenticeship has to be relevant to the job you are undertaking and you must dedicate 20% of their time towards it.
Qualifications required
A Levels (desirable).
GCSE's grades 9/A* - 4/C including Maths and English.
Skills required
Strong numeracy skills with attention to detail.
Strong IT skills and comfortable while working with computers.
Highly organised and deadline focused.
Able to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
Proven experience in sales and purchase invoicing is desirable.
Prospects
There is the possibility of a permanent position once the apprenticeship has been successfully completed.
Qualification / Standard : ST0608 Accounts or finance assistant
Duration 15 months
