Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Finance Team for a Finance Assistant at Sirius Academy West.
The Finance Assistant will work as part of the Central Finance Team, led by the Finance Manager, to deliver an excellent service to our schools. This will involve being a point of contact for staff across the Trust to assist with finance queries. The role will include, helping create Purchase Orders, processing purchase invoices and expenses claims, liaising with suppliers, managing petty cash, submitting returns to the local authority as well as opportunities to support the year end audit and accounts process.
Salary: Grade 4 Point 5 £25,583 - Point 7 £26,403 for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, full time all year round, with an annual leave entitlement. We will consider flexible approaches for this post.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who meets the following criteria:
• Previous experience working in a similar role
• AAT qualified, working towards, or looking to progress a career in finance via this route (funding and support available)
• Attention to detail with high levels of accuracy
• Organisational and workload management skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in ICT
