Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time (30 hours/week)
Rate: £21.31 per hour PAYE (higher rates for weekends, overtime, and bank holidays)
Start Date: 08/12/2025
End Date: 20/02/2026

The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Adults Social Worker to complete needs assessments and support plans, ensuring people and their families are fully involved. You will balance individuals’ rights to autonomy with the duty to protect, becoming a safeguarding enquiry officer where required. This role involves multi-agency working to provide coordinated care and applying relevant legislation such as the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act to provide legal and ethical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Complete needs assessments and develop person-centered support plans
Conduct safeguarding enquiries, balancing autonomy with duty of care
Coordinate multi-agency support to deliver effective and holistic care
Apply legislation including the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act to inform professional decisions
Work with clients and families to ensure their involvement in care planning and decision-making
Candidate Requirements:
Professional qualification in Social Work (Diploma in Social Work, BA/BSc/MA in Social Work, CQSW)
Knowledge of social sciences, law, and social work practice theory
Apply anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive principles in practice
Ability to critically reflect and analyse to inform professional decisions
Commitment to professional development and high standards of professionalism
