Job Title: Advanced Social Work Practitioner (Children) CAP
Location: Worcester, Worcestershire
Contract Type: Temporary, Full-time (37 hours/week)
Rate: £25.03 per hour PAYE (with higher rates for weekends, overtime, and bank holidays)
Start Date: Most likely December 2025
End Date: Approx. 3 months
The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and committed Advanced Social Work Practitioner. You will lead allocated plans and interventions with families, coordinating multi-disciplinary workers to deliver sustainable change. You will also supervise non-social work qualified staff and use Worcestershire Webstar to form and implement family plans.
This is a long-term sickness cover position offering the opportunity to make a real difference to children and families while gaining wider skills and experience in a multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary workers to support families effectively.
Hold supervisory responsibility for non-social work qualified staff.
Use Worcestershire Webstar to develop family plans aiming for sustainable change.
Manage caseloads primarily of Children in Need, with some challenge to care work.
Deliver innovative and outcome-focused interventions with families.
Work collaboratively across agencies to ensure holistic family support.
Candidate Requirements:
Professional qualification in Social Work (Diploma in Social Work, BA/BSc/MA in Social Work, or CQSW)
Registered with Social Work England (SWE)
Full driving licence essential
Experience working with children and families in need of support
Strong leadership, coordination, and multi-disciplinary team working skills
