We are looking to appoint someone to the role of TA for the rest of the academic year 2025/2026
Weekly hours: 27.5 hours Grade: 01 SCP Range: 02-04
We are looking for a team player; someone who is willing to work alongside others and under the guidance of class teachers and the headteacher. Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to communicate in a positive, encouraging manner are essential qualities. The successful candidate will play a key part in supporting a Year 6 child with additional needs.
The position is offered on a temporary basis and is expected to end on 31st August 2026 due to limited funding.
The ideal candidate will: • Have experience of being a teaching assistant within a primary setting • Be a good team player with good interpersonal skills. • Have high expectations of pupil behaviour. • Contribute to the ethos of a friendly, happy school, in which the personal development and well-being is given the highest priority and where both academic and personal qualities of children are recognised and valued.
Closing Date: Thursday 11th December 2025 Interview Date: Monday 15th December 2025
As this post will result in you having substantial contact with children, and/or vulnerable adults the successful applicant will be subject to a Disclosure and Barring Services check. With effect from 1April 2016 it is a legal requirement for some categories of support staff to be registered with the Education Workforce Council for Wales.
