Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to expand and develop our Theatre leadership team, to provide strong leadership within our Theatre teams.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner, with a passion for the relevant speciality, who will be dedicated to developing our service.
Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide the highest standard of patient care
Ensuring effective use of budget and resource to maintain an effective service and meet theatre utilisation targets.
There may be an element of cross site working required to meet the service needs.
To be responsible for the co-ordination and management of the service, including planning the work of the team, deployment and supervision of the staff and the department.
· Overall responsibility for the economic use of all resources. Holds delegated budget. Responsibility for the control and monitoring of budgets as required, providing the General Manger and Operational manager with relevant specialist information regarding budgets, e.g., knowledge of competitors / costs / alternatives. This includes negotiating with relevant parties to achieve the most economic use of the budget.
· Lead a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality specialist service to patients and users.
· Responsible for the identification and provision of core and specialist development within the area. Working with the Theatre and PACU education team to develop training and development programs, using external and internal resources as appropriate.
· Maintain custody of drugs and ensure legal requirements and hospital regulations regarding their administration are observed.
