Crynodeb
It is anticipated that the training for this post will not exceed 2 years The role will include a specific, highly specialist clinical specialism within Audiology To train to act as an autonomous practitioner within their own scope of practice, to evaluate requests and carry out a range of audiologic paediatric assessment and re/habilitation consultations across a variety of patient pathways consistently meeting the required department and national standards To produce high quality, independent reports ensuring compliance with departmental and national standards. To train to interpret complex audiologic or Evoked Response Audiometry test results and history to identify conditions within their own scope of practice or offer recommendations regarding patient management to professionals when care is beyond their scope of practice. To provide teaching and training for areas within their scope of practice. To support the Service leads in the day-to-day organisation of the Audiology service in accordance with Trust / departmental protocols. Supporting the Advanced Audiologist/ Clinical Scientists to ensure the Audiology Vertical Monitoring and Horizontal Audit (VMHA) programme is completed on schedule. To support the Audiology quality lead in maintaining UKAS accreditation. For further details of the role please see the attached job description.
