Are you the right person for the job?

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re personable, hardworking, and ambitious — the three non-negotiables.

You must have:

• 7–10+ years’ geo-environmental experience
• Strong report writing and project management skills
• Deep understanding of UK contaminated land legislation and standards (LCRM, BS10175, BS5930, waste classification, CSMs)
• Technical experience in land investigation, remediation, validation and risk modelling

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience providing quotes and handling client discussions

What will your role look like?

• Lead the environmental side of investigations (Phases 1–4)
• Scope, design and supervise ground investigations
• Produce interpretive reports, remediation strategies and risk assessments
• Deliver Phase I, II and III reporting, including technical checks and peer review
• Undertake contaminated land assessments: CLEA, P20, landfill gas, groundwater, waste soil classification
• Oversee and mentor two junior staff
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, managing quotes and project expectations
• Maintain high independence in decision-making, with onboarding support
• Take full ownership of the environmental workstream within 6–12 months
• Collaborate with geotechnical and field engineers throughout project delivery
