East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) ensures the best possible quality of life and makes every moment count for children and families across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. Our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, wellbeing activities, therapies, care at end of life, bereavement support, counselling and volunteer services in the family home; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.

In 2020, all three of our hospices; The Nook (Norfolk), The Treehouse (Ipswich) and Milton (Cambridge) were rated OUTSTANDING by the Care Quality Commission.
Our people are central to our success. We have a talented workforce of staff and volunteers in Care, Fundraising, Retail, Facilities, IT, Finance, Marketing & Communications and Human Resources.

We’re over 440 employees strong, with a team of more than 2,000 volunteers across the organisation including over 50 shops and a Retail Distribution Centre.

Administrator, Treehouse

Full -Time, 37.5 hours per week

Permanent Contract

Salary £25,000-£28,500 per annum

Are you:
• Highly organised, adaptable and confident in a busy admin environment?
• A strong communicator who enjoys supporting teams and working with families and visitors?
• Calm under pressure, detail-focused and motivated to make a difference?

Do you have:
• Solid administrative experience and strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and databases?
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask?
• Experience supervising others or working with volunteers?
• A full , valid driving licence

Responsibilities include:
• Managing administration for the Care team, including diaries, correspondence, filing and databases.
• Providing support for meetings and taking minutes.
• Supervising admin staff, reception volunteers and volunteer drivers.
• Ensuring reception is covered and acting as a first point of contact for families and visitors.
• Handling phone calls, queries, mail, donations and general reception duties.
• Liaising with families and professionals and supporting data entry and reporting.
• Managing SystmOne user setup, alerts, paper records and new starter system training.
• Coordinating stationery, petty cash, finance links, newsletters and statistical reporting.

The role:
The Administrator supports the smooth running of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices by delivering efficient administration and reception services for the Care team. You’ll help ensure families, visitors, staff and volunteers receive a warm, professional and well-organised service, reflecting EACH’s values of empathy, quality, openness and making things happen.
