Role: Behavioural Support Assistant
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:00am-3:30pm)
Pay: £103.95-£110
Start Date: November.
The school has a specialist internal provision designed to support pupils who require a more bespoke and structured approach. They are searching for a calm, resilient, and proactive Behavioural Support Assistant who can help pupils regulate, engage, and thrive within a nurturing and supportive environment.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support as a Behavioural Support Assistant
* Assist pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs and challenging behaviour
* Support children with communication needs, including non-verbal pupils
* Work closely with the SEND team to deliver tailored strategies and interventions
* Maintain a calm, consistent, safe learning environment as a Behavioural Support Assistant
* Contribute to personalised plans, behaviour reports and daily logs
* Use de-escalation and positive behaviour strategies confidently
* Support learning both in the provision and, when needed, in the mainstream classroom
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
* Uphold safeguarding and school policies in all aspects of the role as a Behavioural Support Assistant
* Previous experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour or SEND
* Strong behaviour management and resilience
* Ability to adapt to different needs across EYFS-KS2
* Confidence supporting emotional and behavioural regulation
* Commitment to full-time, long-term work, Monday to Friday
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
* Team Teach or equivalent training is highly advantageous
* A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils as a Behavioural Support Assistant
* Full-time, long-term opportunity starting ASAP
