Crynodeb
Lewisham Council is seeking two experienced Review Officers to join the Revenues & Benefits team within Resident and Business Services. This temporary assignment will support the service during a peak in workload.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and assess claims relating to Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, and other welfare support.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Investigate discrepancies and liaise with residents, businesses, and external agencies to resolve queries.
Provide clear written and verbal communication to customers, ensuring a high standard of service delivery.
Maintain accurate records and contribute to performance targets within the service.
Requirements:
Previous experience in Revenues & Benefits or a similar local government environment.
Strong knowledge of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction regulations.
Excellent analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and fair decision-making.
