£105-£115 per day
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term (Full Academic Year)

Long Term Futures is recruiting three SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Harrow. These roles are perfect for compassionate and proactive individuals eager to support children with additional needs in Reception and Year 1.

Each position focuses on supporting a pupil with specific needs:
- Year 1 - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Reception - Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Year 1 or Reception - Physical Disability (PD) and/or ASD

The school prides itself on its nurturing ethos and collaborative staff team, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced Teaching Assistants and graduates seeking hands-on experience in SEND before progressing into teaching, psychology, or therapy careers.

About the Role

Working closely with class teachers and the SENCo, you will:
- Provide 1:1 support tailored to each child's needs, encouraging communication, independence, and engagement.
- Use structured routines, visual supports, and sensory strategies to promote focus and participation.
- Support learning and social development through play-based and practical activities.
- Assist with personal care and mobility, where required.
- Work collaboratively with staff and external professionals to adapt strategies and ensure consistent progress.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience supporting children with ASD or physical disabilities in Early Years or KS1.
- Calm, patient, and reliable with excellent communication skills.
- Adaptable and proactive, able to respond to a variety of needs.
- A genuine passion for helping children thrive in a supportive environment.
