Overview
This role supports the sales function by managing incoming enquiries, organising calendars, preparing paperwork, and helping hand over new business to operations. It suits someone who enjoys clear communication, steady organisation, and a mix of admin and front line contact. The role also offers chances to handle your own enquiries and earn commission.
Main Responsibilities
• Respond to phone and live chat enquiries in a clear and friendly way.
• Qualify leads, gather key details, and pass information to the Business Development Manager.
• Manage the Business Development Manager’s calendar and schedule site visits.
• Prepare quotes, follow up on outstanding decisions, and keep clients updated.
• Draft service agreements and send documents for signatures.
• Work with 3rd party suppliers to request quotes and coordinate information.
• Handle your own enquiries and build small pipelines with commission on converted work.
• Support the handover from sales to operations for closed jobs.
• Produce accurate scope sheets with clear instructions for the operations team.
• Keep CRM records tidy with notes, dates and correct documentation.
• Share recurring issues or delays with the sales team to help improve processes.
Skills and Experience
• Strong communicator with clear written and verbal style.
• Confident speaking with clients on the phone and via chat.
• Good diary management and organisation.
• Comfortable producing simple quotes with training.
• Steady attention to detail when handling documents.
• Familiar with CRM systems and basic office tools.
• Able to manage several tasks at once.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Grade C or 4/5 in English and Maths.
Personal Qualities
• Calm, organised approach.
• Focused on helpful communication and timely follow up.
• Keen to learn more about commercial cleaning and facilities services.
• Confident taking ownership of smaller enquiries.
• Works well with others and keeps the team informed.
