Summary
Accounts & Administration Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: MediaCity, Salford Quays, Manchester
Job Type: Temporary (with potential to become permanent)
Hours: Approximately 20–25 hours per week, Monday–Friday
Salary: c£14.00 per hour
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, based in the vibrant Media City area of Salford Quays, for a Part-Time Accounts & Administration Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with experience in accounts administration to join a friendly and supportive team.
The role is initially temporary, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Processing transactions using Sage 200
Sales order processing and invoicing
Purchase ledger administration, including processing supplier invoices for stock purchases
Credit control duties, including monitoring and chasing outstanding payments
Stock control, including goods in/goods out and issuing stock when required
Raising and managing purchase orders
Assisting with health and safety administration within the business
Handling incoming calls and general enquiries
Maintaining the boardroom planner and coordinating meetings and staff schedules
Providing hospitality support, including arranging refreshments or lunches for meetings and visitors
Supporting the wider team with general accounts and administrative tasks as required
Skills & Experience
Previous experience working in an accounts or finance administration role
Experience using Sage accounting systems (essential)
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
Experience of stock control processes
A professional, polite and approachable manner
Strong organisational and communication skills
Flexible and adaptable when working across different teams within the business
A driving licence is preferred, as occasional travel may be required to the company’s warehouse (located approximately 5 minutes away).
