Job Title: Children’s Support worker/Personal Assistant
Hours per week: 6 hours per week in term time across 2 evenings per week 6-9pm, The day of work will vary and you would be advised of the days required in advance.
9 hours per week in school holidays across 2 days per week 5-9pm.
Location: Penrhyn Bay, Conwy
Rate of pay: £14.50 per hour
About me:
I am looking for a children’s support worker for my 10 year old son.
He is a kind, and playful boy who loves jigsaws, music, cars, reading and baking.
I am looking for someone to pick him up from after school club and take him home, and support him within the home. The ideal candidate would be someone imaginative who will take part in all the activities that he enjoys to do, who can also support and encourage him to build his independence skills, encourage him to make his own decisions, and praise him when he does things well. You would need to be a driver with access to a vehicle, with class 1 business insurance.

Task and duties, to include any or all the following:
To pick my son up from after school club and take him home 2 nights per week.
To support my son within the home on these evenings and do tasks that he enjoys such as jigsaws, baking and reading.
To help and encouragement with his feeding and help getting ready for bed, getting into his pjs and brushing his teeth.
To prompt him to take his evening medications.
Encourage him to do tasks for himself, and make his own decisions.
Any other duties not mentioned but that fall within the scope of this role should be discussed and then mutually agreed.
Undertake any further training, as mutually agreed.

Has a driving licence, access to a vehicle and class 1 business insurance.

Has a person-centered approach and a genuine interest in supporting people to achieve their goals.
Can follow instructions and will establish a professional standard of care, to be always maintained.
Will not use their personal mobile phone at work unless in an emergency.
Is trustworthy, kind, punctual and reliable.
Is patient and supportive with good listening skills and an ability to provide non-judgmental emotional support.
Maintains confidentiality and respects the privacy of the family, including the prohibited use of social media in relation to the job role.
Can work flexibly, adapting to the variable requirements of this role as required.


The role is dependent upon a DBS and 2 references.
