We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our client's pre-construction and tendering team. This is a key role in supporting ambitious growth plans and will involve pricing and preparing tenders for a range of engineering projects, with a strong focus on renewable energy and wind farm developments.
You will work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Delivery Team to ensure accurate and competitive pricing for projects.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for engineering projects, including earthworks, roads, drainage, and structures
- Price from first principles to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
- Manage workload effectively to meet tender deadlines
- Price both in-house labour/plant and subcontractor packages
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders during the tendering process
- Maintain and update estimating software and cost databases
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Quantity Surveying
- Minimum 3 years' experience in electrical engineering estimating
- Proven ability to price from first principles
- Strong technical knowledge of projects ranging from £200K to £10M
- Experience with estimating software and Microsoft Office
- Full UK Driving Licence
