Crynodeb
To assess and diagnose swallowing and communication disorders in adults with stroke and neurological conditions. To develop and implement specialist interventions based on evidence and relevant clinical guidelines. To write reports reflecting specialist stroke and neurological knowledge. To provide advice to others regarding the management and care of adults with communication and/or feeding and swallowing difficulties, arising from stroke or neurological conditions. To ensure that patients, families and carers are involved in the planning and implementation of care plans. To demonstrate negotiation skills in the management of conflict across a range of situations. To provide a service and adapt practice to meet individual circumstances, including due regard for cultural and linguistic differences. To demonstrate skills in complex caseload management with support. To adhere to inter-agency child protection and vulnerable adults policies.
