Crynodeb

This developmental band 5 to 6 post offers an exciting opportunity for a Speech and Language Therapist to develop and consolidate specialist skills and knowledge working with adults with neurological conditions, including stroke, in a community setting. This post is ideal for a Speech and Language Therapist who is looking to gain further specialist knowledge, skills and experience as a band 5, before moving into a band 6 role. This post is open to someone who has already worked as a Speech and Language Therapist treating dysphagia and communication impairments in adults in a health or social care setting, but who may be considering a move to community or developing specialism in stroke and neurology.

This post is available as a ‘run through’ development post for band 5 staff, where additional support will be provided in order to meet a certain level of competency to progress to band 6 within an agreed time frame.

You will become a member of a friendly, well-established multidisciplinary team which includes Speech and Language Therapists, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Clinical Psychologists and Rehabilitation Support Workers. We offer Early Supported Discharge, Community Stroke and Neuro Rehab pathways within the London Borough of Newham.
