Summary
Learning Support Assistant (SEN School - Speke)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30
Educato Limited are seeking compassionate and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to join a specialist SEN school in Speke. The school supports children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
As an LSA, you will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, regulate emotions, and develop essential life and social skills. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
Your role will include:
· Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with Autism and SEMH
· Assisting the class teacher with learning activities and behaviour management
· Supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing and promoting positive behaviour
· Helping to create an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
The ideal candidate will:
· Have experience supporting children or young people with Autism and/or SEMH
· Be patient, empathetic, and resilient
· Be confident using positive behaviour management strategies
· Hold a valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
Desirable (but not essential):
- Training in Makaton, PECS, AAC, or British Sign Language (BSL)
- Team Teach, MAPA, or other behaviour management certification
- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Teaching & Learning or Health & Social Care
