We are an Ofsted-rated Outstanding Children’s Service, and we’re proud to be launching Red Gables, a brand new short breaks children’s home for children with disabilities.

Red Gables will provide high quality, trauma informed respite care for children with a range of disabilities, including autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and life limiting conditions.

We’re looking for a compassionate and skilled Deputy Manager to help lead this exciting new service.

About the role
As Deputy Manager, you’ll support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of Red Gables, leading the team on duty and ensuring the home provides safe, nurturing, and personalised care for children accessing short breaks.

You’ll supervise and develop staff, contribute to rota planning, and ensure high standards of safeguarding, care planning, and compliance. You’ll also work directly with children and families, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.

This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape a new service and make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.

We want you to apply if you:

Have experience working with children with disabilities in a residential setting
Are confident in safeguarding, care planning, and supporting staff teams
Are passionate about trauma informed, child centred care
Are resilient, organised, and committed to improving outcomes for children
