Summary
This substantive post involves working with the general respiratory and cystic fibrosis teams at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital (RMCH), supporting children throughout the Northwest. It’s an exciting opportunity to be part of a progressive respiratory department at RMCH, which manages complex respiratory patients within the region and quaternary patients within specific sub-specialties. We specifically envisage that the post holder will contribute to our large cystic fibrosis centre and regional CF care across the North West of England, further developing our hospital as a national and international centre of excellence for CF clinical care and research.
We are particularly keen to attract a clinical academic consultant into our CF team, and have the potential for local funding to replace some of the current job planned clinical PAs with funded research time for up to 3 years. This would support the post holder in applying for ongoing research funding thereafter. The job is based on a 10 PA job plan and comprises the following activities:

Respiratory MDTs
General respiratory clinics
Elective bronchoscopy
Hot week ward cover
SPA/admin
