We are seeking a highly skilled Class 3 Qualified Senior Building Control Surveyor (Band 3) to join our team in the Midlands. Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of building plans to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards.
Perform regular site inspections during construction to monitor adherence to specifications and safety standards.
Provide expert advice and guidance to architects, contractors, and clients on building control matters and regulatory compliance.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation on site inspections, assessments, and compliance findings.
Liaise with various stakeholders, including local authorities, to facilitate the building control process effectively.
Stay updated on changes in building regulations and industry best practices to ensure continuous professional knowledge.
Participate in training and mentoring junior surveyors, sharing expertise and enhancing team capabilities.
Requirements
Must hold a Class 3 Qualification in Building Control or equivalent relevant qualification.
Significant experience in building control surveying, preferably within a local authority or similar environment.
Thorough knowledge of building regulations, construction practices, and health and safety legislation.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to interpret complex regulatory frameworks.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with stakeholders.
Proficient in using relevant software and technology for building control processes and documentation.
A proactive approach with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Hours Per Week: 37.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £318.96
