Job Type: Zero-Hour Contract (hours vary seasonally)
We’re looking for a friendly, dependable, and adaptable person to join our small, welcoming team at The Grosvenor Hotel in Plymouth.
This is a multi-position role covering breakfast service, reception duties, and housekeeping — perfect for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
You’ll be part of a caring, supportive environment where teamwork and flexibility are valued. This is a zero-hour role, meaning there may be some weeks with no shifts, while other weeks — particularly in the busy summer season — may offer more hours. Being available and reliable to cover shifts when needed is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Breakfast Service
Preparing and serving breakfast to guests in a friendly, efficient manner
Setting up, maintaining, and clearing the breakfast area
Ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained
Reception Duties
Welcoming guests and handling check-ins and check-outs
Answering phone calls and managing reservations
Providing helpful information and ensuring guests feel well looked after
Housekeeping
Cleaning guest rooms and public areas to a high standard
Changing linens, restocking amenities, and reporting maintenance issues
Supporting laundry and cleaning routines as needed
Requirements:
Previous hospitality experience is helpful, but full training can be provided
Reliable, trustworthy, and flexible with working hours and duties
Friendly and professional with good communication skills
Able to work both independently and as part of a small team
Availability to cover shifts on short notice is important
